We're giving dd2 a bottle of ebm per day to keep her in the swing of accepting a bottle when it is needed.

She's 7 weeks and we've been doing it for 4 weeks. The process is semi-successful. She'll accept the teat in her mouth and will swallow some milk but she has only drunk the milk properly on a handful of occasions. Usually she 'accepts' about an ounce of milk over the course of 30 minutes!

Could a different teat be more successful? We're currently using a tommee Tippee variflow teat (the one without the nuby bumps)

What do you use?

CAn anyone tell me whether shop brand teats (i.e. Boots & Superdrug) will fit Avent bottles?

Thanks

Tommee Tippee Nuby vote for me! DD is 3mo and has been mixed fed since 4 weeks. Tried Avent, Nuk and Mam too but she refused those all! She moves between boob and bottle with no problem.

We use the Playtex Latex teats, really soft, just like skin, worked first time.

We get them from Infantcaredirect (Playtex staff work there and offer great advice!)
