DS (7m, BF) has started vomiting after his milk feeds

He's bring quite a lot back up, yesterday it was all down the front of my shirt and all over his clothes. He's never really vomited before, so it's a bit of a shock. He has silent reflux, but he was diagnosed with dairy intolerance and it cleared up when I started a dairy free diet.

We're doing BLW and I'm carefully avoiding dairy and soy with him.

Any ideas what might have caused it please?

DS had a virus (cough and temp) when he was 6mo and was properly sick then (the only time he has been). Is your ds otherwise well?

He's had a runny nose for a few days, but it seems to be clearing. He didn't have a temp. He's been as happy and smiley as ever.

He does seem to be refluxing more again though, I can hear him bringing stuff up and then gulping it back down.

Is it after every bf?

My DS did this for a while after his afternoon bf, at around the same age. It was almost as if he was drinking too much milk on a full stomach and couldn't cope with it all.

All the way through he was totally happy and comfortable and the co ottomh didn't distress him in anyway.

It's mainly in the afternoons and evenings actually, so maybe it is a food intake issue. I suppose he's not very good at working out what his tummy can hold yet.

Thanks very much!

I did try to space his lunch and afternoon bf further apart. Mostly by trial and error really. He would feed to sleep for his afternoon nap around two-thirty (and that was pretty consistent) so I moved lunch half an hour earlier.

Not sure it made any difference really?

But perhaps worth a try?

Thanks yes, I'll try that. We don't really have a routine, which was fine when he was tiny and I didn't have to worry about meals for him, but I think I need to get one in place.

Thank you :)
