Have been having a nightmare few wks with dd who has decided she no longer likes/wants her bottle. Sneak in as much as possible as she's dropping off to sleep but she is getting wise ti this and it's getting even tougher. She is teething and this all kicked off around the same time. She also had a cold at that time too. I have spoken to HV who has given me some good advice but ultimately says we have to persevere. We are lucky to get the recommended 16-20 fl oz into her daily whether in bottle, spoonfeeds or sippy cup. I suppose I am really just wondering if anyone else has battled throughthis and is there anything to make it easier. She's not very good with the sippy cup yet. Most goes all over the place. Have seen Doidy cups but have no experience of them. Do you think they would be worth a try??? Thanks for any help!!!!

teething causes so many problems... from throwing up to temperatures. have you tried giving her some calpol or bonjella about half hour before a feed? she might take it easier! when your sick you don't feel like eating anything, babies are the same! x

My FF baby sometimes refuses the bottle - or rather, doesn't drink very much. I think sometimes they're just "not in the mood" and as long as he's eating food & drinking water I don't worry. It usually only lasts ~48 hours and then he's milk-hungry again. He's 10 months now and started saying "no" at around 6 months. I would worry if it went on for days and he weren't eating or drinking anything .

A doidy cup might be worth a try if it's pain from teething that's stopping her as she won't have to suck, which I think is what hurts them. It might be enough to tide her over anyway although it can be a bit messy Smile
