Hope someone can help. Ds is nearly 5 months and ebf. I go back to work in a month, eek. Thinking about expressing although not sure would actually manage at work as not desk job. If I did express how much milk do I send to nursery with ds?? Got no idea how much he actually takes. And if I decide to try and stop bfing but keep a night feed how do I go about doing that?? Sorry, I realise a lot of questions but it's really preying on my mind.

Hi there, I empathise as I'm also back to work in 3 weeks and my DS is ebf, although mine is a year old, he's still very reliant on his milk! (and the comfort of bf!)
Whatever you do about stopping / cutting down make sure you do it gradually - cut down on feeding bit by bit starting with the day feeds to avoid getting blocked ducts or mastitis.
I'm sure someone who bottle feeds will be able to advise you on the quantities of milk to send with your DS. Legally an employer has to allow you room and time to express milk, although admittedly that's easier said than done in many situations.
Good luck with it, and remember you've done brilliantly to get this far ebf-ing!

Both mine went to nursery at 7 months. DD never touched milk while she was there but ate and drank water, having BFs morning and evening and at bed time. DS has 2 small bottles of either formula or EBM if I have enough, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, as well as a little food and BFs morning, evening and night.

I initialy sent in 8oz of ebm but DS only has about 4 so have cut down. Send some in and then see how it goes.
