BF for 6 weeks and past two night DH has give one FF to let me rest and introduce bottle.

Today DD has fed off and on for 3 hours and I feel empty I hear occasional gluggling and she has been weeing well.

You don't run out of milk, its not a bottle, empty it and its gone, your body keeps producing milk as long as your baby keeps asking for it.
I may feel empty and your baby may feed loads but this will increase your supply to keep up with your baby's needs as they change.

if she's glugging and weeing she must be getting milk

6 weeks is a classic time for a growth spurt - I felt like I had no milk for a bit then as he fed what felt like constantly and I felt empty but it passed :)

Have a look at this from kellymom about growth spurts and see what you think

If you've introduced one ff, it's unlikely that it will dry up your milk supply.

If you had NO milk you would have a dehydrated and hungry baby who fussed and cried at first, wouldn't wee, sunken fontanelle, dry mouth etc, would lose weight and would not settle.

Constant feeding is typical of a growth spurt. It's how they tell your body to make more milk.

Does she eventually come off satisfied, with that punch drunk look? As long as she's happy, weeing and pooing, periods of alertness etc I wouldn't worry. And if you had any worries at all about supply, the trick is to put her back on again as she asks so just allow unfettered access.

6 weeks is a typical growth spurt. Just let her feed as much as she likes.

she sucks for about 7 mins and just drift off to sleep. I pick her up to wind her, she wakes up i pop her back on she wails trying to latch on for min or so then starts the cycle again.

She hs had about one 30 min nap over the pm

sounds familiar, that's what most of my evenings felt like for the first couple of months
maybe let her sleep a bit longer rather than picking her up to wind? And get some good dvds and snacks :)
It's nice the evenings are getting lighter now, maybe your DH could take her out for a little walk when she's fussing to give you a bit of a break?
It won't last forever :)

Is her weight gain/general appearance of health ok? If so then this behaviour sounds like nothing to worry about (although it's flippin annoying!)

Does she need to be winded? I never bothered if ds fell asleep.
