my daughter is nearly 7 months and started eating for about a month/6 weeks ago. She is a little difficult to please!.
she will eat pretty much anything but only once a day more than that and she gets grumpy, spits out generally refuses anything but the breast.
Today for example went like this:

8am breakfast - ate a lovely big bowl of porridgem seemd to enjoy it and had a drink of water to finish off.

10am BF

midday - offered food had about half a spoonful but sprayed it back at me, refused to open mouth and then screamed until she had BF.

2ish - tried a snacl refused screamed until BF

5 - same as above

7 BF

other days you could just BF in the morning then she will eat a good lunch or switch it round in any other way but the point she seems to be trying to make is that she only wants one meal and the rest BF.
Is that ok? will she gradually increase what she is willing to take?

she is still quite small (17 pounds) so could that be a problem?

I guess it depends how much u r offering her in that one meal. Maybe u r giving her too much?? so shes full for rest of day. Porridge is rather filling ....

Also have u got a set routine?
When i weaned mine I started with lunch, at pretty much same time every day, once this was established after a couple of wks or so, I then introduced breakfast for a few wks and finally a 3rd meal til bout 1ish when they start having lil finger food snacks.

Maybe give BF first so she is not too hungry?
