Safe to introduce odd FF at six months with family history of alllergy?

I've EBF for six months, largely because I have a history of asthma and other allergies and wanted to give my DD the best chance of not having the same.
But now I'm returning to work and can't face the amount of pumping I'd need to continue.
I still plan to breastfeed morning and night, but want to use formula for the two feeds during the day.
My question is, because of my allergy history, should I start her straight away on something low allergy like Aptimal Pepti, or Nanny Care (I know lots of people aren't fans but it's worked for friends!) or should I try ordinary formula to see if she has a bad reaction, before even going down the hypoallergenic route?
I'm mainly worried that if she reacts to ordinary formula she'll be permanently sensitive to cow's milk - but then how long should I avoid anything containing dairy because of this worry? Surely she needs exposure at some point to see if there is a potential problem?
Please help if you have any experience of this!

My DS1 is very allergic to milk and was originally on pepti after a severe reation to milk at 6 mths. He didn't react outright to the pepti but his skin was terrible so we knew that even at this level his body couldn't cope and we switched to neocate.

So after all that waffle what I am trying to say is that if you have concerns then start on a hypoallergenic milk and if everything is fine then you can introduce an ordinary formula. I did this for my ds2 who has no allergies but after my first experience I was paranoid! I then introduced yogurts etc in to ds2 diet once I knew he was ok with formula.

I would also go for the pepti over nanny care.
