Don't know whether anyone else was sceptical Hmm about this but I was a little bit until today .....

I just spent ages expressing 3 oz milk from one breast until not a drop more would come out. DD woke up and wanted feeding so thought might as well offer that breast first even though it was empty.

Well she slipped off the breast and milk was gushing out in all directions Shock!!! (Sorry if tmi Blush!!). So clearly the pump did not manage to empty all the milk or even most of it.

Just thought I'd share it with you :o

Grin My twins are also living proof. I have never been able to express more than 4 oz in about an hour, but I ebf my twins to 6 months and carried on till 10 months.

With two babies I totally failed with breast pumps both manual and electric. Meant I could never go out without babies but breast fed happily til they started biting around 11 months. I just thought I was somehow using pumps in wrong way. Only ever got few drops with pumps where as found breast feeding easy. Getting babies to take a bottle when I wanted to stop breast feeding aagghh- another thread!!!!
