Am 29 weeks and very uncomfortable. Is it too early to get a b/fing bra? will I grow much between now and 40 weeks?

As close to your due date as possible, I think something like 36 weeks is usually the earliest advised (if I remember rightly). Even then I'd only buy one nursing bra as you'll change sizes again after the first few weeks when it settles down a bit.

Hope that helps.

I got remeasured every 6weeks after my 20th week as by the end I had gone up 3 back sizes and 4 cup sizes.

A lot of maternity bras double up as nursing bras

I got measured first time round at 36 weeks. Wish I hadn't bothered as during my engorgement my boobs were huge and bra didn't fit.

Second time round I learnt and bought some sleep bras from Jojo mama (£15 for two and invaluable) and on recommendation from friends this bra www.expressyourselfmums.co.uk/nursing-bras/Bravado-Body-Silk-Seamless-Nursing-Bra.htm

It comes in small medium and large (maybe bigger) and you use a chart to figure out what size you will be. Lots of room for growth and so comfy. Is a breastfeeding bra. I'd defo get one of these as everyone I know who has them say they are the best. Loads of places sell them.

Oo I just had a look at louby's link and realised I have that bra - my friend gave me her old one when I got pregnant. Soooooo comfy - thoroughly recommended!

You'll probably need a couple of different sizes between then and your due date. Way too early to be thinking of nursing bras IMO. Sleep bras are great though - I used them when pregnant and at first when DD was born.

I had a couple of those Bravado bras for the early weeks (the 'original' bravado bra goes up to bigger cup sizes than the seamless silk one I think - see here. There are sizing charts for each bra.

Can't recommend them highly enough - comfortable despite me going from a 36D before giving birth to a 34G within a week, and back down to a 32F for most of my BFing career.
