Post-op tongue tie latch problems

DD is 4 weeks and EBF. She had a moderately severe anterior tongue tie which was treated 1.5 weeks ago. Our latch improved immediately afterwards - she was able to open her mouth much wider and stopped gumming me quite so hard, but in the last few days our latch problems seem to have returned. She latches on fine to start with but then after the first few sucks decides to pull off a little, meaning that there is less areola in her mouth - back to square one. It is too painful and stressful for us both to keep de-latching and re-latching as this inevitably keeps recurring.

Lactation consultants suggested putting drops of milk on the corners of her mouth or letting her suckle my finger to teach her to use more of her tongue, but my LO seems to be a '0-60' baby - she doesn't seem to display typical hunger cues (I carry her in a sling and watch her obsessively!), but instead goes straight to screaming blue murder when she wakes hungry, meaning I can't really try these techniques. Perhaps I'm just not reading her right.

Any suggestions? Please help!

when she is screaming 'blue murder' make a loud 'ssshhhh' right behind her head (say near the neck) and they go catatonic, gives you a few secs to latch her on.

can you try the exaggerated attachment? so when she pulls back there is still more breast in her mouth? The images are on pdf page 10 but the booklet page is page 9.

Oh my god, that leaflet is amazing. We just had a fantastic pain-free feed and she took in much less air making her less windy and agitated. Thank You!
