please help me.. 14week old waking every 50 minutes

My DS is 14 weeks and has been waking every 50 ish minutes for the last week, before that if he went for 2-3 hours I would feel lucky.
Last night I was lying awake for the first 50 minutes. He starts to stir and rub his face- I used to think hew was rubbing his eyes but he seems to be rubbing his forehead which is dry and I wonder if it is possibly itchy?
He wants boob in his mouth when he wakes up- or at least that is the easiest way to calm him. I don't think I want to use a dummy because I don't want using one to creep into daytime, and then into toddler years etc. I'm also haven't expressed milk because my mind is so mashed (for want of a better word!) from lack of sleep that the thought of going out to buy bottles, sterilising equipment, pump etc and then working out how to use it all seems SUCH a nightmare- I'd rather just flop a boob out.
At around 3am (used to be 5am but has crept earlier) he gets unhappy, squirms and then with a bit of help and positioning from DH (who seems to have the magic touch) farts like a trooper. That obviously is painful for him.

I am breastfeeding. DS has also 'clicked' from birth- I've very successfully breastfed my DD before with out this being a problem, and as a devoted breastfeeder I've tried everything possible to stop his clicking (really, everything!) and come to the conclusion that it is just something he does. It seems to getting a bit better with 'age', as he gets bigger. But he still loses suction a bit.
Please help me, I am so so tired. Any suggestions? x

Hi there - i don't have any suggestions as such but would just like to say poor you. I empathise as my DS did this. At some points, he was waking literally every 40 mins all through the night. Not sure what age exactly, but tbh he was waking extremely frequently until about 8 months. Hang on in there, it will eventually get a bit better. Even every 2 hours (althoug unimaginable to some!) will be a huge improvement on your current situation. Not sure what else you can do - I personally never found any solution

sympathy but no solutions here either. ds1 woke every 40 minutes, day and night for months.

we coslept for sanity but I still ending up hallucinating through lack of sleep. but it did get better, I promise, he's a fantastic sleeper now.

'The no cry sleep solution' might help...lots of tips to get babies to learn to settle without boob.

mamachris lucky you - I long for the day when I can every say my DS is a fantastic sleeper. Tbh he's 2.5 and has 'slept through' precisely 3 times!

:( allnew keep faith. it will happen.

I now have 4mo twins, one of which, like ds1, requires a nipple in her mouth to stay asleep. So although ds1 is sleeping through, I am not!
