I must of been the most undescreet person ever when ds was born, i was nervous too went bright red if anyone looked at me etc...

9 weeks later i'm wipping em out everywhere and i dont really care who sees!!

I must admit how proud i was when bf baby when ds2 was in a&e and a nurse come in the room and did a double take and said "oh i thought you were bf then i was gonna shut curtain again to give you some privacy"...

my dh said to me after "i thought you said you were feeding" i then moved a little and he realised i was!

I can feed discreetly, unfortunately my 6 month old can't anymore Grin

I can see my ds not been descreet when older, he likes to flash my nipples if he's in the mood :s

ethelina · 09/02/2011 16:37

Boy likes to look around now. My nipples seem to be public property

NinkyNonker · 09/02/2011 16:43

Absolutely...until 6 mo old DD gets bored and decides that flashing me to all and sundry is more. fun. (Sorry Wagamamas... Blush)

RJandA · 09/02/2011 19:50

11 month old sometimes also points at my nipples in case anyone has missed them....

I used to flop my tits out everywhere - in the more public places I threw a pashmina over my shoulder and used it as a cover. When DS was tiny (which wasn't for long) I used to just shove him right up my jumper. Remember having breakfast with lots of friends who were staying and actually fed him whilst sitting next to the breastfeeding phobic who didn't notice until a foot came out from under my jumper - poor chap nearly choked on his bacon sarnie! Grin

I BF in the middle of Church last Sunday and nobody keeled over in fright so I guess I'm discreet! :o

PlasticLentilWeaver · 09/02/2011 20:15

What RJandA said.

It used to be possible to be discreet. DS has other ideas and wants everyone to know what he's getting Grin

gaelicsheep · 09/02/2011 20:15

Re babies losing focus, if you lift up your top to feed and pay attention, surely you can very quickly cover up if needed? That's what I do.

FortunateHamster · 09/02/2011 20:19

Another one with a son who now prevents her from feeding discreetly! He'll pull off and turn around at the slightest thing and sometimes I'm quick enough to cover... sometimes I'm not. Not massively bothered at baby groups etc but I do try and find better seats at coffee shops or whatever now to avoid flashing quite so many people.

MoonUnitAlpha · 09/02/2011 20:21

I've been having a conversation or eating my lunch only to look down and notice ds isn't latched on anymore Grin

pinkyp · 09/02/2011 20:28

i once pretend to dh that baby was latched on when ds2 came in at 6am and announced he wanted his bum wiping!

I guess there is a benefit to still finding it mildly uncomfortable then. Can't help but notice when DD's latched on!

Lynzjam · 09/02/2011 20:42

DD is about 5 months and doesn't tend to feed for long in places unfamiliar to her as she gets distracted.

We were in m and s cafe today having lunch and it was packed. DD was feeding until she started speaking to the person sat behind us. Was really cute because to them they will have seen my back with a wee baby head popped out the side. She was saying ooooh ooooh ooooh!

Erm maybe it was one of those moments you had to be there!
