Feeing to sleep = less mik than feeding awake?

Just curious really. My 13 m.o. DS is on nursing strike & is only feeding when sleepy.

Is there any difference in the amount of milk taken in when feeding to sleep vs feeding when awake?

I find my LO gets less being sleepy than when fully awake.
Is your LO on solids? Maybe he doesn't need to nurse so much (just a theory- mine's only 8 months so I have zero experience with older kids!)

No, he really wants to feed when awake but always stops before letdown. He dropped 3 feeds all at once, which coincided with getting a chest / ear infection and then vomiting / diarrhoea (and teething and sticky eye) so he's had a rough old time of it. :(
