My nursing bras fit perfect but recently they feel tight - is it normal for them to grow? also wheres the best place to get a good fitting one? - not a big fan of mothercare as i bought a maternity bra from them which only fit for a week :s

Oh mothercare are crap! sorry to say it but no other words express how these bras are so unsupportive. I went to debenhams (you can look at the bras online i tried to put the link in but it did not work sorry) they also do a fitting service and the women was so understanding about my leaking boobs situation I was so embarresed but she just got on with it. Some places do breastfeeding bras with underwire so be careful not to get these as this is not advised when breastfeeding. There are other places online such as hotmilk but I like to be able to try the bra on. Hope that this helps :)

I like the M&S ones and they have a good fitting service too. :)

bravissimo! Smile

Hotmilk bras are fab. got one from DH for Christmas and sooooo much better than crappy Mothercare ones!

tanmu82 · 24/01/2011 11:22

hotmilk and cake lingerie!

I love the dr Miriam Stoppard range at debenhams. I am a H cup and feel really supported even when the cup is open.

Bravado are good. They do a nursing safe underwire bra too.

Cies · 24/01/2011 21:07

Another vote for the Miriam Stoppard range at Debenhams. They've lasted so much better than my M&S bras.

moaningminniewhingesagain · 24/01/2011 21:10

Bravado here, they are fab, so comfy. Mothercare ones I had were utter shite, my boobs fell out as soon as I leaned over and give you a terrible shape.

pinkyp · 24/01/2011 23:42

Well i went to debenhams today and i'm so glad i did! Turns out the 38E i was wearing (origionally measured by mothercare) should be a 36FF!I've bought a pack of 2 miriam stoppard bra's and they were only £25 and look pretty! Thank u :D

try Emma-Jane bras - they have some bras that a single bra goes from a B to a F cup. You can get them off figleaves and a bunch of other places I think

fiveisanawfullybignumber · 31/01/2011 15:02

bravissimo!!!!
Miriam stoppard ones are ok, but I really needed a bigger cupsize than they do.Blush Got some beautiful ones in a 36J from Panche, and bravissimo's fitting service is second to none.

When were you measured?

It's entirely possible that your ribcage has shrunk back down as it expands in the last weeks of pregnancy to accomodate growing baby and can take a while to return to 'normal'.

I was advised to get bra extenders rather than invest in a whole new set of bras in a band size or two larger.

GMajor7 · 31/01/2011 15:21

Debenhams have a good range.

I didn't splash out on expensive bras from hotmilk and the like as I thought I'd only need them for such a short while...

...DD is now 1 and I'm wearing a very dowdy looking flesh number from M&S Hmm

Might have to go shopping Grin
