How much milk for a 2 year old?

my DS is just over 2 years old and he still has a bottle of milk at bed time. Around 7 ozs. He had yogurts, cereal during the day etc but he recently hurt his mouth and could not suck his bottle so we thought this was the perfect opportunity to get rid of the bottle. I thought of supplementing his milk by offering some in the mornign with breakfast. MY DH thinks this is not enough for a 2 year old. thoughts anyone?

the equivalent of 350mls (approx 12oz) is recommended from the age of 1. Any milk with cereal, in foods, in cooking and any dairy also counts towards that figure. Could you give him milk in a lidded or open cup at breakfast and/or in the evening before bed?

My DD is the same age and puts away almost a pint of milk overnight at the moment. She's a skinny little thing, so not sure where it's going!

I tried replacing it with water in the night in case it was just because she was thirsty, but that didn't work.
Seona is right in that any other dairy they eat in the day all counts towards the total they are getting.

Most days ds doesn't have any milk, but he'll always have some sort of dairy in his daily diet. If your ds eats a varied diet I really wouldn't worry about his milk intake.
