Breastfeeding DD pushes me away

Hi,
DD2 will be 9 months on the 20th of this month, she is a big girl and loved her solid food but has never been a huge milk drinker. I breast feed her in bed with me in the morning but she is maybe on for a few minutes at most only on one side and continually comes off to look around and smile and grab things etc, she has porridge for breakfast which she loves and drinks water, from then on she never demands to be breastfeed, I attempt again around 11 which she usually fights me off! If I put her down for a nap she will often feed for a few mins from one side only then pushes me away. The same pushing away happens later in the day around 4ish although if she is offered a bottle she quite often takes around 3-4oz. She has a solid lunch and tea and I or my DH give her a 6 0z bottle of formula at bedtime which she guzzles.
I keep thinking maybe I should just give up and offer her bottles instead but I dont really want to! I fed DD1 until 13 months.
Sorry for the novel but anyone experiencing the same?
J

I think the lack of sleep I had last night explains the apalling grammar! I forgot to mention she still wakes in the night and i nurse her than put her down awake, she drops off herself....

It may be that she is more used to the fast flow from the bottle and doesn't like the slower flow when bf. Even at 7months DD now pushes me away as soon as she is finished. Why are you thinking about changing, are you worried that she is not getting enough milk?

Hi, yes, I keep reading that she should be having 18 - 20 0z and I am a little concerned. She does have a lot of yoghurts etc though, I go back to work in 5 weeks and so would like her to continue being able to have a bottle as she will be in nursery 2 days a week.

It's hard not knowing how much they are drinking but if she seems happy and have access Smile to milk she's more than likely to be getting enough. I think the guidelines of amounts of milk are for formula as there is no way of knowing how much they get bfeeding. So if she is growing well and have a healthy diet I wouldn't worry, or try not to anyway!
