Growth spurt?

DD is 10 weeks old, quite happily would feed every 3-4 hours in the day & same but maybe longer at night.

the past three days she has been feeding every 2 sometmes 1 hours... being happy after a feed then over-tired, then a bit wingy before having short naps... only for the past three days. overall shes a content little thing, i dont let her cry for feeds, i try to catch her before that which is good butjust seems more hungrier at times??

im not doubting my milk as i can feel there is milk in there, but its as if shes not finishing her feed sometimes hence her feeding more often?

My DD did the same at about 10-12 weeks, she is 15 weeks now. She settled back into a more sensible gap between feeds again, but is still having the odd 1 hour gap now. she's sleeping through from 10.30 -7.30 am now though, stocking up in the day is good in that respect so if she wants more feeds in the day I just let her have them. I think it is growth spurt related.

does your DD have her own room?

We're all in one room at the mo due to housing situation (living in my dads front room!) so she must have difficulty settling for the night (ie:10:30-7:30am) she normally sleeps 8-10ish then 12-4/5ish...? depends really.

i do let her feed quite a bit in the day too, so hopefully it'll pass a little bit (growth spurt) she just seems a bit unsatisfied after some feeds, and mega tired..

she fights her sleep too, she was awake from 8-12 last night. she was SO tired!!!

This sounds exactly like my DTs, who are the same sort of age as your DD. They were in a nice 3-4 hourly rhythm, but for the last couple of days have wanted to feed more often and seem very unsatisfied. I think there's supposed to be a 12 week growth spurt, so i'm hoping that's what it is...

Also as they become more aware of the world, they can get easily distracted, which means they can then try and catch up in the night or end up 'snacking'.
