sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish, bumping until someone more experienced than me comes along to help

Well done for bfing so long!

I do remember it did take a few weeks for my hormones to settle down after stopping bfing dd2, I was more upset then she was.

And that is complicated by a nasty virus that you have - many people put tiredness down to bfing, but looking after a small child can be very draining in itself, bfing or nor, especially when you are ill. Hope you get well soon and get some rest.

I've just thought, if you've stopped suddenly, is it possible that you have mastitis? Symptoms are similar to flu symptoms.

Ah, Ruby - I'm so not the person to reply to you but I couldn't not. I have 3 DC's and desperately tried to BF them all, with varying success.

When I stopped with each one, which was much earlier than you (so well done for a job well done!) I felt just awful DH now says that the hormones that are around when your milk is drying up are vicious. Could be some truth in that - your hormones are trying to torture you into taking up BF again. I think the same hormones would kick in if your child was 5!

No help at all, I'm sure. Hang in there.

lol thanks for replies. lol at 'your hormones are trying to torture you into taking up BF again' it does feel a bit like that. oh for some oxytocin!

belgo i thought about mastitis but no hot boobs or lumps or soreness or redness. just a hideous cough and sinus pain. its just so hard to rest looking after DS and he is being a little more difficult - won't let me put his coat on etc...

just feel a bit blue i suppose. cried at cbbies this afternoon Shock lol. they were singing a song about how we should be kind to the earth Hmm.

have done a search and seems pretty common... thanks for replies though xx
