I have a 1 week old baby and have been offered the swine flu vaccine. I know I pass on antibodies in my milk. If I have the vaccine and make antibodies will I pass them on in my milk and therefore give my baby immunity too?

I thought yes as a doctor friend told me that if I had it when pg (which I did) my Lo would get protection too. But I'm no medical expert so hopefully someone will be along who can say for sure. :)

yes, whatever antibodies you make, you pass on to your baby.

No, it doesn't work like that with bf- there won't be enough antibodies in your bm to give immunity to your baby. Some, but not enough to offer the same protection she would have with a vaccination.

Checked with a doctor friend and with a GP and they both said yes, I would pass on enough antibodies to give my baby immunity, but only for as long as I am breastfeeding. The immunity will not be permanent.
