We are just back from a+e as ds ate a bit of houseplant and was puking loads. They said not serious but may have irritated his mouth and stomach so give smaller feeds to avoid overloading his stomach.

But I have to feed him to sleep (only other thing that works is walking miles with the sling). Usually feed him several times a night - we cosleep and I just let him suck as long as he wants.

Should I just keep offering the same breast so atleast the flow will be slower so he will get less milk?

Did the doctor know that you bf? Just wondering as I imagine it would be quite difficult to give smaller feeds. Also bm is gentle on the stomach so wouldn't have thought it was problem. ( not an expert btw just more thinking out loud)

Seemed pretty clueless about bf - asked me when his last bottle was etc. Think they just gave me the advice designed for ff babies and it didn't occur to me til we got home how it would actually work.

Anyway ds seems much better today. phew.
