I have an electric dual but would like a manual to use occaisionally one handed, it would be a right pain make mine single and back again.

Would like to try a manual one anyway as some seem to find it better for them than electric I only get between half and ounce and 2 ounces max in one go using my electric one. TIA

I started with an Avent manual but the cup wasn't big enough for my breast and I found it kept losing suction I then moved on to a manual Tommee Tippee (i have large breasts and this had to largest suction bit). I then bought the electric Tommee Tippee, and preferred the manual. So I stuck with that one.

Thanks LFR. The Avent was the one I was looking at but reviews were so mixed. I dont have large boob's myself so perhaps it's OK. If anyone else has any comments I would be really interested. Thank you

I have large boobs (38G) and love the Avent one, I only bought today to tide me over until I could hire a hospital grade one, but I wont bother hiring one now. Its very effective and only took 10 mins to get what the Ameda Elite took 20 mins to express.

Maybe it's boob shape? I'm a 32H and just had a nightmare cramming fitting enough in to keep the suction. I guess it's horses for courses.

I second the Avent breastpump for manual use. It went with me everywhere in luring work. I remember having DS on one boob with the pump on the other in the morning otherwise it was milk everywhere!
BTW I have quite a small cup size 38C when nursing at first.

I had an Avent Isis and could get gallons with it. I couldn't get to grips with the Tommee Tippee (maybe my boobs are too small - 34D/E/F depending on the day when post-natal, 34C otherwise).

I have an electric thing too with which I could get a couple of ounces. I got more with the manual, esp if feeding on the other side. The only problem was that once DD could look about if the pump squeaked it used to disturb her!
