Told by a nurse advisor at OOH Drs.

I'm concerned about her getting dehydrated as she is chesty & bunged up and finding it difficult to feed.

Bottle suggested Hmm I don't have any bottles or milk to put in them and she has never had one. Apparently she will pick it up if she is hungry despite being ill Hmm

Great. :)

There's info on Kellymom on feeding babies with colds too.

And the logic behind taking a bottle if she's hungry but not taking the breast if she's hungry sounds mad to me, even if the nurse knows nothing about bf.

Hiya nymph-dd still snuffly. At her worse I fed her with her sat up, seemed to help.
We are still in week 5 of sniffles but at least her poos are bonlinger green. I might hide from the hv at baby group incase she stars Gerri g wt obsessed ;)
Glad she was better this am :)

My DD had a very bad cold when she was about 6 weeks old and was really congested and I found a room humidifier really helped. They sell them in Boots and in Argos I think. Hope your DD feels better soon.

Seashells-iPhone? Not sure what some of that says Grin

Someone suggested humidifier last night & tried wet towel on radiator as alternative

Nymph omg yes iPhone and I swear that is not what it looked like when I typed it!!!!!! Can you tell Ds had me up at 4?!!!

Ok, translation- try feeding with LO sat up, saline drops, steam during a shower...

....the rest was an update on LO, who has been dropping percentiles as has been coldy for 5weeks, but she now is feeding better and no longer has green poo. I will have to avoid the hv at baby group as she is getting weight obsessed.

I am so tired and my ms is making my eyes lazy-sorry for the horrendous posting!! My posts on our other thread are at least coherent Grin

It was the HV bit I didn't get Grin
