I think I've reach that point where I don't mind breastfeeding.

I don't even consider swapping a breastfeed for formula because breastfeeding is easier and more enjoyable.

I honestly wasn't sure if I would ever reach this point but I have...Hooray!

Well done! It's a leap of faith in the beginning. How old is your baby?

StealthPolarBear · 29/11/2010 13:45

Coming up to 6 months, the point at which people start asking 'when are you going to stop?'

Please continue for as long as you want. You have put a lot of effort into reaching this point, make the most of it for as long as possible!

Well done you :)

I am nearly 5 weeks into BF. had so much pain, mastitis, open wound but i dont want to give up now!!

Still feeding through the pain, giving my bad side a rest today by expressing, but feeding still on myrigh and the occasional feed on the left.

I can't WAIT for the pain to go away, i really enjoy feeding but the pain is so immense that I haven't fed in public yet either. otherwise i'll probably be arrested for swearing lol

i'm taking each day as it comes, i truely do want the pain to go so i can embrace feeding!!

It took me about that long too OP. For at least the first four months I used to go and stare longingly at cartons of formula in Boots Blush

And yes belgo - DD is seven months and I love feeding her now, but suddenly everyone is all "are you still breastfeeding Shock"

Anyway, well done Smile it's easy peasy from now on!

My DH was originally thought it was weird to BF past 6 months but has since read the WHO guidelines and is totally supportive of BFing as long as I want.

:) Good for you - and for your DH.

Dozeyland, well done for keeping going this far. One day at a time is exactly the right way - hope it improves very soon.

when it's good it's really really good and when it's bad it's horrid.
