6mo dd suddenly wants boob every 2 hours during night-normal??

Dd has always slept really well, going down at about 7pm after having both boobs and then waking at about 3am for a feed then sleeping until 7am. The last week or so though she is waking about 4 times in the night for feeds.
I have started weaning in the last couple of weeks and this seems to have coincided with wanting more boob when I thought the opposite might happen!
Also her bowel habits have changed dramatically, she was always a 5-10 poos a day girl but now its only 1 a day, sometimes 1 every other day.
Could the food be upsetting her digestive/sleep pattern or is there a 6 month growth spurt?? Thanks

Can be a growth spurt.

Starting solids can upset their digestion - my DS had this and for at least one night needed feeding every 1.5 hours due to trapped wind which would only come out if he was bfing. He suffered from wind for a couple of weeks after starting solids (even though we did BLW from 6 months).

There's also a developmental spurt around 26 weeks which can mess up some babies' sleep in advance of it.

We had a killer growth spurt that last a few days at 6 months.

We give DD orange and other fruit to help with constipation that solids can bring and offer her water with each meal

Thanks, will def try the orange and water to try and unblock her a bit! Having trouble getting her to drink though because she has never had a bottle and wont take one and she seems to think sippy/doidy cups are toys. Hopefully she will get the hang though!

we introduced a cup at 4 months, but it shouldn't be long before she gets it. Although messy, you could try a free flow cup to help her get more water.
