......why and how old was your baby?

I've been really struggling with feeding, with mastitis and blood blisters and cracked nipples and general horrible pain, and am considering stopping. But struggling with the guilt that comes with it! Wondered about other peoples situations!

Thanks

dd1 2wks ebf and hated every minute of it, bleeding chewed up nipples, unhappy baby, risk of having a relapse of my M.S with the stress/lack of sleep. Sat on bathroom floor and sobbed when dh gave her first bottle of formula.

dd2 3 weeks mix fed, good latch and good feeder but blood transfusion following retained placenta left me very poorly after the birth and each breastfeed left me feeling utterly drained and also had a 1yr old to look after.

dd3 mix fed from day 1 and still going at 3.5 months though rapidly losing interest in the breast. I wish I'd known more about mix feeding with dds 1 and 2 as I feel confident bf ing for the first time but always thought it was either ebf or ff.
Bit gutted dd3 is going off it and am pumping for all I'm worth but can barely get anything off.

Now ttc number 4 who would be 'the last baby' and will give the bf ing my very best shot and learn more about successful mix feeding.
