won't take bottle - feeding cup?

My ds2 won't take a bottle, he is quite big at 4 months and is waking to be fed every couple of hours through the night. (Any tips on that would be great - have tried Avent and Mam teats and SMA and Aptamil formula) I wanted to give him some formula at his 10pm feed but can't because won't take bottle but my health visitor has recommended a 'feeding cup'. She said you could get them for babies with silicone interchangeable lids so they can use them when they are older too. I can't find any so-called 'feeding cups' anywhere. Does anyone know where I could find one :)

like this? (available in boots and john lewis)

or like this?

TBH if he will not take a bottle he may not take a feeding cup either.

I just had the same conversation with the HV today about DD2 (4 months). So far we've tried tommee tippee and breastflow bottles. She recommended trying the Nuk bottles as they are closer to the shape of a nipple.

She also said if she won't take a bottle that from about 5 months a doidy cup is good like this She said if she wouldn't take a bottle she might not take a cup with a lid either so an open cup is better.

Good luck, let me know if you find anything that works! Smile

Had a break due to being away so carried on EBF but have tried DS2 on NUK teat for last 3 days (one bottle feed a day) and he has taken it!!!!! first time he was very hungry so just went for it and he took it like a lamb! Next time, he messed around a bit but I kept saying 'good boy' etc and looking at him and smiling and kept teat in his mouth and then he suddenly started sucking. Today he nearly went back to his old ways so I left it for an hour until he was really hungry, still made a fuss, I then put him in his Baby Bjorn chair and he took 210ml - best yet!

Hunger and NUK teat seem to do the trick.
