Have received both. Had a lovely woman give me a hug, and have been called a whore. A few incidents have knocked my confidence slightly, but it will never been seen as the norm if people don't carry on doing it!

9)Please tick appropiate that may apply to whom has made any general comments while you were breast feeding?

It has been women aged 50ish mainly. At times teenage boys don't know where to look, but none of them have ever said anything.

10)To save yourself from any uncomfortable moments have you considered expressing your milk OR just got on with it?

Have always just fed, much less fuss.

*only place anyone ever commented was in the baby clinic waiting room, where they suggested I might be more comfortable moving to a secluded area. I was a bit Hmm as I wanted to hear when our name was called and thought they ought to be able to cope if anyone could. Joe Public otoh has always been fine.

  1. While breast feeding in a public place, did you experiance any stares, remarks OR comments? If so, please state whether they were positive or negative? Maybe a few stares, some people saying how nice it was to see a baby feeding, some ladies expressing sadness at being unable to feed their children. One lady saying how she enjoyed the night feeds as it was a special time for her to be alone with her dc.

Briefly considered expressing, but took me too long to express any amount, plus dc wouldn't take a bottle
