Do all babies projectile vomit?

My DD1 probably had reflux, she was sick most days all over the both of us at least once, often more, and was a very unhappy baby as she was so uncomfortable. Unfortunately I didn't know any better and thought she was just 'a sicky baby' so we both had a miserable first few months.

My new 4 week old DD has drenched me 5 times so far so much less often than DD1 (but 3 times this week) and is sometimes uncomfortable and cross after a feed but not always. Is this just normal or should I be speaking to my GP? I just hate to think of her being uncomfortable and I dread going out if there is a possibility that she'll be so sick that all my clothes are wet and possibly someones sofa etc. After today's effort all I didn't have to change was my left sock!

No, this is not normal.
It is not uncommon, but it is not the case that all babies do that.
My DD was very rarely sick, if ever.
My DS on the other hand was sick every time I fed him, often projecting his milk long distances.
In his case, it stopped within 24 hours of my cutting all dairy out of my diet. Many babies, especially premature babies as he was, are unable to tolerate the protein in cow's milk. I changed my diet to soya milk, goat's cheese and soya yogurt. He was then fine, far more comfortable and stopped vomiting entirely.
(My GP on the other hand dismissed any connection with the dairy. This was something I did without his advice, but it worked.)

I had a reflux girl, every feed was a sick-fest so I think you are just having a few bad days, maybe a bit of mucous or cold causing it? Breastfeeding and had curry/white wine etc sort of thing? My boy is always more sicky when I enjoy a glass of white of an evening.
Don't worry too much for now, my girl cried a lot, my boy doesn't so be reassured by their happiness as well.
