7.5m reducing bf but not sure if too much?

My DD is 7.5m. Am bf apart from the odd bottle of formula when I have to go somewhere (very rare, not more than twice a month as can no longer express enough)

She started on solids at 6m and has taken to it brilliantly, so much so that she has been cutting down her feeds. Over the last couple of days she has really cut down (is teething though) so much so, that I got my 1st period yesterday Sad

I'm crap at keeping track of exactly when she's feeding but she is only having about 3 'good' feeds a day and I'm really not sure if it's enough.

It could just be me having trouble adjusting (and am in a bit of a brain fug due to sinusitis) but I really can't remember from DS milk days how much is 'normal' at this age.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

She's just got more efficient at feeding. She's probably taking the same amount. Don't stress. If she's eating as well, and is not dehydrated or losing weight you have nothing to worry about. :)

Thanks for the reassurance. Think I'm a bit scared that she's giving it up.

With DS I felt like I had to wean him onto formula from a certain age however this time around I'm so much more relaxed and enjoying it that I planned to continue for a while.

Getting my period was a bit of a shocker as didn't get it back with DS until after I completely stopped bf so think I'm probably just panicking a bit

I know when my periods first came back DS was put off nursing a bit because it 'tasted funny' (well this was according to older DD - I tandem fed for a year). It may just be that - it may be teething. It may be just that she's more efficient. Either way it's not a cause for concern. Wait three days and things will no doubt change and you'll have something else to worry about! Wink
