...it has only j ( as in this week) started to be easy for us. And DS is 9 months, yes, 9
Months old. This week was the first time, since he was 4 weeks old, that I have been able to successfully feed him in public, that he has happily starts to feed somewhere other than our bedroom and that he has been neither asleep nor sleepy when feeding.

Now all we have to work on is something approaching independent sleep. (Even if it is only sleeping next to me without having the boob in his mouth the whole night!)

So hang in there. Eventually it gets better. (Hopefully earlier for you than for me)

Good on you for persevering! I gave up after 8 weeks with DS1 and still feel guilty about it. DS2 is almost 14months and we're still going. It's so handy as I can settle him so quickly if he's hurt, upset, tired or hungry Smile

You're a trooper! Good on you for sticking with it and I hope you can enjoy the newfound ease for as long as you both wish :)

Flipping 'eck love, you're a stubborn bugger aren't you? Wink

Seriously though - well done you. Grin

Wow, amazing. Makes my heart sink slightly though. Nine months!!!

Wow, well done. It's wonderful once it works well, isn't it? :)

The thing is though, that he has never had any problems with weight gain or latch; I have never had sore nipples or mastitis; and I have an abundant supply. So the fact that he was a 'fussy' feeder didn't seem to be such a big deal.

It s great to be able to just feed whenever and where ever; he wants to and it is available and that is enough Grin

Well done!!

Every time I start to think about giving up BF, I remind myself that this would mean taking up FF, and how much of a drudgery I find cleaning and sterilising the very few bottles I use for expressed feeds!!
