Dishwasher effectively sterilises them.

SoupDragon · 05/09/2005 18:22

Don't put them in if you're washing something tomatoey though.

Mum2girls · 05/09/2005 18:22

I did this - d/washer only at 8 months.

aloha · 05/09/2005 18:23

I would. I just give stuff a cursory wash, tbh. DD is fine. Actually she's nearly seven months and I give her tap water in a plastic cup which I sluice out once in a while and sometimes just pick up from the kitchen floor and give to her.
So you might want to ignore my advice.
DD is the healthiest baby you could imagine though.

pmsl

Stuff and nonsense! My three month old drinks from the dog-bowl.

(D'you remember that French and Saunders sketch of those two old biddies with loads of dogs living on a farm - "the rottweiler's just bitten me arm orf - stuff and nonsense, can't be doing with horspitals, just stick a bandage on it to hold it on.")

aloha · 05/09/2005 18:35

My role models, obviously.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 05/09/2005 18:38

used dishwasher for jess's bottles from about 4-5 months! just rinse her juice cups every day and dishwaher those 1-2 times a week!
