Green Poo, 4 week old, bf baby - normal?

My ds now has grainy green poo is it normal?

A bit of history - last week he was diagnosed with reflux, he is incredibly windy and infacol wasn't working. He is quite difficult to wind and I think he may have a bit of colic in there too. (not diagnosed though iyswim)

He has a hard tummy on most occasions, hiccups alot, goes bright red and as I say nigh on impossible to get all the wind out.

After much advice he is now having gripe water and infant gaviscon, but also lots of poos of which some are green, most recent two nappies being green. Funnily enough though he seems slightly more settled with the gripe water even though he is obviously still a little uncomfortable!

Is this green poo normalish? I seem to remember dd having them but my mummy befuggled, sleep deprived brain can't remember diddly squat to do with newborns.
TIA

I think green is very normal. DS1 was also suffered from reflux and excessive wind. Was on gaviscon until he was 21months.

Poos were all sorts from yellow to green to brown. I wouldn't worry.

Thank you!

I think green poos can also indicate they're getting more foremilk than hindmilk, so ensuring he completely empties a breast before switching sides can help, or putting him back to the same breast first if he wants to feed again in a short time period.

It's nothing to worry about - just as Moon says, too much foremilk and not enough hind.

I think you're meant to give them a good half hour on one side to ensure they fully empty the boob before switching. :)
