But still no period!
DD is 13 months and still feeding loads day and night. There is no way I'm going to deprive her of the milk/comfort she wants/needs because of this, so what are the chances of my period coming back any time soon? I realise she might slow down on the feeding some time soon, but equally she might not! So if she continues feeding at this rate, could my period still return fairly soon? Or could I still have a long wait?

I realise there are no definite answers to this, just wondered about the likelihood.

I haven't had a period in 5 and a half years Grin but I have 3 children under 5. Got pg on first ovulation each time.
There are no answers to when your period will return but when I got pregnant with DD DS2 was still nursing at night and lots during the day (he no longer nurses at night but still a fair amount during the day, DD however nurses all night long).

Thanks for reply WoT- and I guess that also means 5 years of no sleep!

I guess I knew there are no answers really, was just interested to hear others' experiences. And just had lunch with a pregnant friend which made me even more broody! Although I suppose the morning sickness along with with my not-even-nearly-sleeping-through-the-night dd and going back to work might be tricky!

We cosleep so the baby isn't the problem when it comes to sleep :). the 5.30am internal alarm clock DS1 is the sleep depriver.

My periods didn't come back until 6 weeks after I stopped feeding each time, but both DC only 6 months and I have PCOS so often suffer from longer cycles anyway. SIL got cycles back when her DS was 15 months and just been fed twice a day. I would imagine this varies enormously from person to person.
