Change of poo EBF baby

Until he was 6 weeks DS2 was constantly pooing and I was battling with nappy rash. Around then his poo changed to be thick mustardly coloured. Recently at 18 weeks its gone greeny, even pale, smaller amounts and his nappy rash has come back. I can deal with nappy rash but wondering about poo?

He was sleeping all night but last week hasn't been great although last night only one night waking which is ok.

Any ideas on whats causing the change in poo?

I read that green poo can be caused by over or under feeding.... baby pukes a lot. I fed every three hours, although could stretch him longer. He often pukes at the end of a feed. I feed on one side until he comes off, offer the same time maybe 2 or 3 times more and then offer 2nd side.

My DD is 19 weeks and this week she has had some green poo, though also some normal yellow poos too.

When my DD was a week or so old she had some green in her poo I told the midwife and she said that if I ever see it again I was just to make sure my DD was staying on the one breast longer before I offer her the second as green poo can be a sign that your baby is getting more fore milk than hind milk.

My DD is teething at the moment so she has been quite fussy when feeding. Sometimes she will feed for 5 minutes on one side and fuss till I put her onto the other side, even though I know that she could go a good while longer on the first breast. I think this is why there is some green poo. I'm also on antibiotics though so suspect that this may be influening things too.

thanks, thats what I thought (he needs to stay longer on first side) his feeds have got shorter so I guess he comes off one side more quickly, will put him back on... and again. also wonder about pre teething pains as his cheeks all red and sucking all 10 fingers at once!

We are exactly the same. My DD fusses so much and just refuses to go back on till I switch sides! I'm trying not to worry too much about it but I get worried in case she isn't getting enough milk. Still plenty of poos and pee, but slightly less pee than usual I think.
