Are milk 'feeds' necessary for the over ones?

I'm a bit Blush to ask this, as I should remember from dd1 but my memory is shot. do you ned to give milk 'feeds' once your child is one? DD2 is nearly one and only takes about 4oz morning and night. Can i just give her a drink of milk with her breakfast and drop the bottle at night? I remember giving DD1 a carton of formula every morning till she was about 2, a bit paranoid about her iron levels as we are veggie, btu i'm not sure DD2 would take this.

sorry to be so crap!

My 15month old still has 3/4 full cups of milk a day.

I see it has a drink not a "Feed". I love a nice big glass of cold milk so obviously Ds takes after me. lol.

He drinks water throughout the day too so not worried.

If your DD wants it then let her have it.

I think at one should be having 12-16oz in total per day.

SIL not veggie but only really does chicken/fish not red meat, DN still being BF at 15 months and DN was anaemic, and low in vit D. Broke his leg (without falling off anything) - after he was limping had xray and then lots of tests.

thanks. she has yoghurts and cheese and at nursery, takes some cows' milk from a beaker but water for the rest of the day. i'm not a milk drinker personally but DD1 downs gallons of the stuff every day.I'll keep her going with it for a while and see what happens.
Sad for your DN, MumNWL
