Does too much boob give them wind?

Ds has reflux and tends to eat little and often, particularly when he is having a bad day like today. He also suffers badly from wind and some people have suggested that it is because he feeds frequently that he has wind. I'm not so sure.
Anyone know? He's 10 wks btw.

Frequent feeding is normal in babies, and esp normal in babies who have reflux.

Why do you think he has wind? How can you tell it from the symptoms of reflux?

i don't think so op.
ds2 fed incredibly frequently but didn't suffer particularly from wind

reflux-y babies often feed a lot because it soothes them

Thanks for the replies.

He seems to do a heck of a lot of straining, like you would when trying to push, iyswim? He does burp easily though. Tbh, there are times it is obvious he is refluxing and there are times he seems in pain but no other symptoms other than the straining. The straingin upsets him.

Not that I have noticed nicky at 20 weeks (where did the time go?!) DS2 is still feeding every 1-2 hours through the day and doesn't have any wind problems, he does fart and burp but no straining.

a lot of babies do that. sometimes just the sensation of poo-ing is a bit weird and can be distressing for them.
bear in mind while they were in the womb they didn';t have that sensation so it's a bit new for them
and then sometimes because they find it weird they tense up, thus making it harder to pass a stool... hence all the straining.

Thanks.
It's a shame - the straining seems to distress him.
