6.5 month old weaning and ff throwing up

My 6.5 month old is ff and we have started weaning since 6 months. She has infant gaviscon in her formula as has had reflux from newborn.

I was just merrily feeding her sweet potato and carrot dinner when she threw up EVERYWHERE and I mean everywhere. She just kept going.

She did the same thing not last night but the night before and the night before that, both times on her 9.15pm bottle, drank it all and then threw up everywhere.

Any ideas on why she keeps being sick? She seems fine within herself, is now giggling away in the bath. Are we feeding her too much??

Have you cut down her milk feeds? How much solid food is she having?

shes having a milk feed when she first gets up (6oz), then solids at 10/11 of say about 12 spoonfuls, then a bottle (but only a bit of it 4oz), then another feed around 1/2 - 10 spoonfuls then another bottle (say 4oz) then a bottle mid afternoon(7oz), then tea about 6/7pm of about 12 spoonfuls then another bottle (4oz) then often another bottle about 9 (6oz).

are you giving milk with food then? I kept milk separate from meals so they didnt eat/drink too much at once. Our day went like this:

7am - milk
8am - breakfast and drink of water
11am - milk
12pm - lunch and water
2.30pm - milk
5pm - dinner and water
7.15pm - milk
in the night till 8 months - milk

My dd occasionally threw up her bedtime bottle and I found that reducing it by an ounce or two helped.

will definitely try keeping them separate, not sure why we dont actually, no reason so we might as well try separate and see if that helps, thank you.

do you give the water in a bottle i take it?

no, I offered water in a lidded cup along with meals. Both my lo's got on well with the tommee tippee first cup. It has a flip up spout and is free flowing i.e. no valve.
