Bloody obvious question about Milton!

Have just started DD (6 months) on one bottle of formula in the evening (so dad can do the whole bedtime routine) and am confused by the instructions on the milton bottle - it doesn't take much these days! It says to use 2 caps of fluid - filled to the full line - for 5 litres of water. Simple enough but there are two lines inside the cap - an unbroken line near the middle of cap and a broken line near the top of the cap with no indication which is the 'full' line.

Does it mean full as in volume or full as in the type of line?

i would say is probably the unbroken line.

But anyhoo if your dd is 6months you don't need to sterilise anyhoo.

I haven't since birth for DD (as they don't on NICU)- just hot soapy wash, rinse well and air dry, or shove in dishwaher! Simples

And hospitals dont recommend milton for sterilising anyhoo anymore as studies found parents werent scrubing out the bottles first but just leaving em to soak then reusing which is still dangerous (but obv if you are not doing that then its fine!)

thanks thandeka - i have to say i was also wondering about the instructions on the formula pak as it says to use a sterilised bottle but if using a beaker just to make sure it is clean!

sounds like they are making an assumption about age in that respect but it would be nice if it was a bit clearer.
