Trying to think positively at the moment, that ‘overall’ Britian is a safe and progressive country to raise my family….

Would love some positive support or experiences from other families who don’t feel we’re all completely doomed and need to run away…

thanks :)

in no particular order ...

Good climate in terms of no major risk of wild fires, earth quakes, flooding, volcanoes, drought/ famine.

Good infrastructure in terms of reliable electricity and gas connectivity. Clean water through the taps that doesn't run out and can be drank.

Internet connection relatively stable - both mobile and wifi providers.

Generally - apart from Birmingham - rubbish collection is reliable.

Good food provision infrastructure - much supermarket choice. Shortages are rare. Often good restaurants cafes and artisan butchers bakers dairy shops and foods from different cultures - so lots of choice.

Good time zone - makes working overseas easier.

Good entertainment centres - cities especially have theatres, festivals, museums but in local areas too.

Road and rail infrastructure available - could be better - but is present but needs investment but possible to get around.

Free health service for all. ability to pay too if you can afford.

Free education for all. World class schools available too if you pay. Education also available for adults.

World class universities available.

Beautiful scenery.

Plus beautiful villages, towns and cities.

World class service industries - finance, media/ entertainment , accountancy, law, management consultants - work globally and a huge export for us.

There’s a while to go before the Election, so there’s still a chance Reform won’t get in.
