Didn't even know she is still around until she decided to pile into this mess. Who is still paying this woman to be on TV?Confused

The way Sheryl was tripping all over her words while trying to placate Whatsername will make you realise who's really the bully behind closed doors. But the body language experts won't come out for this one.

Piers calling someone a bully - Ha! Never been done before.

clpsmum · 12/03/2021 11:42

This woman has sent people human shit in the post, her opinion is irrelevant IMO

CruellaDePaella · 12/03/2021 11:42

Of course she barked at and shut down a black woman while simultaneously demanding to be educated because she felt blindsided, panicked, got defensive and allowed fear & horror of being accused to take over - Isn't that usually when people show their true colours and deeper things come out?

HmmmmmmInteresting · 12/03/2021 11:44

Piers has cancelled himself from the Society of Editors nomination as Editor of the Year. Why, tho...sounds perfect for him. Trash organisation, as we've seen this week.

Love how the trash is taking itself out this week- Society of editors Director stepped down this week amidst people boycotting the award after they said the British press was not bigoted. Piers just cancelled his nomination because he knows nobody is going to turn up to it.

Here's his disgraceful appearance on BBC (from 40 seconds)

Sharon O has issued a wishy washy backtracking apology. No direct apology to Sheryl though. I so wish it was Dr Shola or Kelechi who'd dealt with her.

Benelovencd · 12/03/2021 12:55

The fact that Sharon's supporters have called for apologies from Sheryl and Elaine and said they are to blame and bullies just means you can't win as a BW, you are always to blame, react gingerly, and quietly without raising your voice - you are bully, react passionately and articulately -you are a bully. There is no form of protest to racism that is acceptable to a racist.

That racists support basics like PM & SO says a lot about their lack of emotional intelligence.

SO is an irrelevant who's wheeled out to be controversial every so often. An Alf Garnet-ess. I can't say much about her as I can't even recall what she's "famous" for tbh. Maybe getting her face done (& re-done) & yeah, sending shit through the post.

PM was actually paid to be a red-faced angry bully. Although this is dressed up as "freedom of speech".

This is a man who hacked Millie Dowler's phone, cruelly causing her parents to believe she may still be alive.

A man sacked by CNN for sexual harassment. Publicly bullied MM for years just because she didn't want to know him. There's a pattern here regarding that form of arrogant male entitlement around a woman's right to say No to him.

Yet going by other posts and threads as well as elsewhere, countless women support an odious man like that, because they get their rocks off on a woman of colour being bullied, gaslighted and 'put in her place'. As long as he does that, his nasty behaviour otherwise is acceptable.

It makes a total mockery of womens rights issues, a subject they will likely go on and on about ad-infinitum. Because their hypocrisy surrounding a woman's right to say No, a woman's safety, the dangers of male harassment of a woman whilst inciting others to do the same, the dismissal of a woman's mental health distress (as if for a woman, years of being publicly mocked cyberbullied and gaslighted by the media, + knowing some people were enjoying it, wouldn't have an effect on mental health) is blatant to see.

Womens rights won't ever be taken seriously when they swiftly and publicly throw women under the bus, yet complain when a particular type of man does exactly the same as they do.

Looking at what they write, and what sexist misogynist men write - There's no discernible difference. At all.

The gatekeepers of racism dislike when their prejudiced 'free speech' has consequences.

Good. It's about time their racist arrogance was taken in hand. This is a multi-racial country and if they don't know it, they'd better get to know it.

The wake up call is loud.

Well said

I can't take feminism seriously because of their exclusionary nature. All their principles around women fall to dust when they are faced with a WoC in particular BW, then the ardent supporters of women's rights suddenly become the very thing they accuse the patriarchy of. WW are not victims of the patriarchy and WM, they always uphold those values and prop them up because they benefit from these structures. There is no solidarity, just one-sided support from us. I'm glad more conversations about the lack of intersectionality and impact of race on feminism are taking place and BW are forming and fronting their own movements, putting forward their own voices.

Exactly.

Going on about 'Rights' but happy to 'other' Women they view as 'different', for the sake of the precious patriarchy. Not exactly principled.

Indeed.

& We know now this is gaining momentum, they'll be metaphorically bashing down the doors. Desperately craving to be The Voice, and heard with their patriarchy-fuelled confusion.

They can't even see themselves. & In that respect although I'll do an observation on it from time to time only as part of a relevant discussion, I don't really 'see' them.

In the same way that I wouldn't ever take time out to immerse myself in the mutterings of racist sexist misogynist men.

It's just a load of unedifying noise.

This quote is tge best.

In defense of herself that day, Osbourne said in a strange accent, “I ain’t racist.” But the receipts tell a different story.
