What's it like? Would you recommend it?

I think there's a thread on this somewhere, hang on...

Hi, I'm new to this site.
I have just finished reading this book (normally I don't finish books!) and found it really funny and true to life. It's nice to know that even celebrity mummies can go through the same ups and downs as us!
Well worth the puchase.

I read the first page in a bookshop.
I didn't like it.
But then I don't like most of these types of books.

jamsambam · 04/07/2006 13:58

im in the middle of it now, its ok, but i have school age ds's so it was a bit wasted on me (odd present from relative!) good for first time mums though.

usandbump · 04/07/2006 14:05

I'm 40+ with my first and I really enjoyed the book. Its funny and honest, I read it in one sitting o a lounger in the garden

BigHotMama · 04/07/2006 14:08

I'm a first time mum-to-be and really enjoyed it, (couldnt put it down actually!) has good ideas, tips and recipes, wont be parting with mine just yet!

blueshoes · 04/07/2006 14:23

Flipped through it in a bookstore. Not inspired to read at all. Just another pseudo-celeb cashing in, with some trite over-simplistic observations on conventional parenting. Nope, won't recommend.

poppiesinaline · 04/07/2006 14:33

It was ok. Fairly amusing but wouldnt buy it personally.

hotmama · 04/07/2006 14:37

I had it bought for me when I was pregnant with dd2. Quite liked it and she admits she poohed when pushing!

IamBlossom · 04/07/2006 15:11

it was ok but she comes across as a right stress head!!
