OK done some packing, scrubbed out oven, now for a little sit down as baby is v. v. v. uncomfortable under my ribs.

Ju - watch Pocoyo again. They use Hooray in nearly every episode.

Thanks for the vid. My mother had put socket covers in every spare socket in preparation for DD being down here for a while. Within 5 mins I had found DD playing with a cover she had pulled out. I quickly realised that they actually attract her to sockets as she sees them as some sort of shape sorter. So have got rid of them all.

Nevertheless I believe that all childminders are required to have them in place....

Who was it that posted a link - about 15 threads ago - to a site where you can get free films? I need a reason to sit down in the evenings, otherwise I work. Not having a TV is a bit rubbish right now.
Is it a reliable site and really free? And do you need a swanky computer to get it to work?
TIA

Yaaaaaaaaaay for BabyBolat. Enjoy the leisure time.

BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:22

And Yaaaaay for you LuLu - so pleased you are getting to go home - now you can nest and get ready for your LO in a beautiful house!

Sh*t.
More urgent question.
How many movements are you supposed to feel per day before going in for a check?

LuLuBai · 27/03/2009 17:28

Auld I read 10 movements a day.

BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:28

10 in 24 hours Auld

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:29

But you have to measure it from the time your LO is normally active, so for me it would be late afternoon / evening

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:31

How much has your LO moved - if you are worried give your me a call!

PuzzleRocks · 27/03/2009 17:31

Boff - Good to hear DH's diastolic reading has dropped quite a bit.

Schulte - Happy to be pregnant for a few more months? . Get thee to an asylum woman.

Lulu - Good luck with the move.

Ju - I have never had them for that reason. People usually look at me like i'm mad though. Cos you know, if mothercare say so, you must need them.

LuLuBai · 27/03/2009 17:32

To be honest I have never counted as mine seem to be generally quite wriggly wee beasties. But I find cold drinks or caffeinated drinks are almost guaranteed to get movement out of the little one. So cold water or a strong coffee or if you have any around the house some cold coca cola.

AuldAlliance · 27/03/2009 17:32

Hmm. Will see what happens while I'm reading DS his story, as that is usually a hyper time. Just realised I've felt little all day, but then have been doing things a lot...

PuzzleRocks · 27/03/2009 17:35

Auld - I hope you feel better soon.

Boff - Thanks heavens for Ocado. A last minute Saturday slow, i'm impressed. And good that AP is pulling her weight now.

BB - FINALLY! Have a lovely time off now.

PuzzleRocks · 27/03/2009 17:38

Auld - This one is an acrobat. The m/w can't believe how much she wriggles. I never feel her when I am rushed off my feet. Try not to worry.

BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:38

I'm hoping I wont be OFF for too long before LO comes as I am not sure what I will do!!

In my organising state not sure how I will fill my days (there is only so much cleaning you can do!!!) and I do not want to overtake Nutty in the chat stakes!!!

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:40

This one goes through stages of scaring me senseless when I can't feel ANYTHING and then pulling my insides apart the very next day with its contortionist movements!

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 27/03/2009 17:40

Back from lunch and a book buying outing... thought I should stock up because DH doesn't want me to do anything from now on...i'm going to take him at his word..

BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:42

How you feeling Bleu - any movements?

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 27/03/2009 17:43

Well things are pretty much the same with the back and nether regions...not any stronger than they were...so I'm thinking I've a long way to go yet

AuldAlliance · 27/03/2009 17:43

Puzzle, mine is an acrobat, too, which is why I suddenly fretted. But he's clearly felt the adrenaline rush from my concern, and gave me a few merry dunts just now ...
Much relief all round.
DS didn't move much in the days before his birth and I didn't do anything about it. Felt a bit guilty afterwards when I found he had the cord in a double noose round his neck (not that we know when that happened, but didn't stop me from feeling bad). Slight risk of overreacting the other way this time, I think!
BB: looking forward to seeing how long you are actually on leave before you segue into motherhood...!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 27/03/2009 17:44

GO BB!!!! GO BB!!!! go BB!!!!!

BabyBolat · 27/03/2009 17:45

If it's more than a week I may go insane!!!

OP posts:
LuLuBai · 27/03/2009 17:46

BabyBolat - I knitted baby clothes and watched loads of films while I waited for DD to be born. It could be some time before you get to watch a film from start to finish again. Also any books you have been meaning to read. I also went cycling in the park but that may not be advisable.

Bleuravin · 27/03/2009 17:46

lol BB time to find a hobby

LuLuBai · 27/03/2009 17:48

Yup - cooking for the freezer is a useful passtime too. You may not have that much time to cook either.
