Hi All!

I've got a little bit of time to think about pushchairs and travel systems etc but I thought the best people to ask about them are the people that already use them - YOU LOVELY MUMMIES OUT THERE!

Now, what I need to know is - is it light weight? Does it fold easy? Is it worth getting a carrycot? Should I get a car seat that fits in to it?
Last time round I had a massive Graco travel system and I really don't want to get something like that this time as I hardly ever used it and then bought a stroller that they used from 6months onwards which was great.

I NEED YOUR OPINIONS - GO ON, SPARE ME A LITTLE OF YOUR TIME! XX

I liked Chicco Trekking - Big enough weels, very strong very waterproof with an integral zip away raincover. Warm and cosy for the baby. Six points of recline, and the baby can sit completely straight, which they never can with a stroller. The handles also rotate 360 degrees and so its pretty comfy to push. Great suspension, folds quite easily (say, one arm plus the ground). Nice colours. Not too expensive. It's not the lightest though, but good for the degree of comfort. Now I'm using a Maclaren techno, which is great too, but would not be as comfy for a little baby.

I love my Maclaren Triumph classic!
It is suitable from birth due to its lie flat position and has a padded insert and head protector thingy for the little ones. My DD1 is now 18 months and I have not had to buy another buggy!

I don't travel by car often, but have a separate car seat for when I do.... I did not get a carry cot, the lie flat position means its not necessary (and my sister's travel system had one that her DD outgrew at around 8 weeks - what a waste of ££££!)

I travel on foot and by London Public transport LOADS it is light and manoeverable and all round excellent. It is also easy to fold and has a handy carry handle.

Only disadvantage - as with all Maclarens, is the lack of space for baby bags and shopping - the basket underneath is small and relatively unaccessible with the buggy inthe lie flat position, but you can easily raise the seat into a more upright position, accesss the basket, and then lie baby back down. I generally manage by taking a small back pack with me leaving me hands free.

I am due Baby no 2 In amy next year and I will either buy the double versionof this buggy - or just et a buggy board.

all round an exellent

Loved my MicraLite when my daughter was little - the big back wheels were fantastic for bumping the pushchair up and down steps/pavements. Very warm and cosy in winter for a baby.

Moved to a Maclaren Volo when she was 20 months old and again, love it.

Ilove the look of it, its a good price and practible but does it actually recline to lie flat?
