Infant observation- Can you help?

Hello,
I was wondering if a family living in London, whose baby is due in December or January would like to take part in infant observations?

Many families find the observation experience emotionally enriching and rewarding. It also supports the student in their learning which they can take into professional practice.

I am an MA student on the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust course, “Working with Children, Young People and Families: a Psychoanalytic Observational Approach”. This 2-year course is well established and focuses on children’s very early emotional development, relationships and communication.

As part of my course, I am required to undertake a minimum of 35 observations with an infant with the aim of attaining invaluable insights into ordinary early childhood development, relationships and communication. The time frame is over two years beginning with the first 4 weeks of the baby’s birth.

Given the current COVID-19 context, observations are now conducted online and take place in the family home.
I can provide a valid DBS certificate and references from my university and would be happy to discuss any questions you may have.

Please contact me if you are interested in taking part and I would be happy to discuss any questions you may have.
