Feeling much better today, I saw my new midwife today and mentioned a lump on an old episiotomy scar which I hadnt realized how much discomfort it was causing. She examined me and got me an emergency gp appt. Turns out I had a bartholin cyst that was at least the size of a golf ball. Gp drained it and I can now walk and sit without pain. Just wish my 1st midwife had actually looked at it.

Hi everyone! Due 24th January and boiler just packed in so got a lovely quote of £3600 for a new combi boiler... Just what we need ey! Feeling grumpy and stressed grrr but trying to be calm....ahh unagi

Unluckoftheirish · 22/11/2019 00:00

First post on here... Yes 29th January, it's my first baby, and I'm miles away from being anything close to ready 😂

Unluckoftheirish · 22/11/2019 00:10

@Bellasblankexpression I feel you! I'm in the process of BUILDING a modular home, which was meant to be done 3 weeks ago, but typical Irish weather has pushed it back so I'm living with my parents because my dear baby daddy left me at 6 months pregnant. But hopefully we'll have the place together within a few weeks, so I can actually start putting together a nursery and have somewhere to put the baby things! The stress of moving is such a pain though

Bellasblankexpression · 22/11/2019 06:47

@Unluckoftheirish oh gosh you poor thing what a stressful time!! I hope it all goes okay for you and
You soon have a lovely new home. A modular home sounds fascinating - off to google!
Hope it doesn’t take too much longer for you

Thatsanicepear · 22/11/2019 07:43

May I join? First baby due 8 January. Finish work 2 weeks today! Oh and I'm also a 1983 birthday along with a couple of others I can see here.

Unluckoftheirish · 23/11/2019 02:35

@Bellasblankexpression stressful, but hopefully it pays off! It'll all be worth it when we are in lovely new houses and we out our feet up on the sofa and relax ( until baby is here of course!!)

Sleepycat91 · 23/11/2019 03:49

1st jan here but DS was a 34 weeker and im 34+3 now. Midwife thinks ill be this side of xmas aswell. Im hoping so too, i feel like a whale and thoroughly fed up now🙈

Rachel97 · 23/11/2019 14:55

Me! January 22nd! Far too prepared this time, already got almost everything (just need sheets for next to me crib) and it’s left me feeling really bored and impatient!
Midwife says I can have a membrane sweep at 37 weeks though! And I’m planning on starting red raspberry leaf tea in the next couple of weeks. Has anybody used it before? Did it help? I had a really long second stage with DS (I was induced at 41+5!) so I’m hoping to get things moving much earlier this time!!

Poppy2020 · 23/11/2019 16:41

Hi guys! I'm due jan 25th and feeling so reassured by your posts. My partner is working so much overtime and I live away from family so feeling pretty lonely, unprepared, tired and hormonal! Saying that, it's flying by and can't wait to meet him 😊

Times10 · 01/12/2019 18:44

How’s everyone doing?
Still exhausted all the time, but just over a month to go now. I had a bit of a scare the other night, but it was only trapped gas! Luckily I’d heard that a bath would help, so I tried that first.

Cjo99 · 01/12/2019 19:02

@Times10 Yep exhausted all the time here too. Thankfully maternity leave starts on the 11th. Tired of being on my feet for 6 hours with a 15 minute standing break!😂 Are you okay now? I'm getting more excited and nervous with each dayGrin

Times10 · 01/12/2019 19:08

Yes, haven’t had any other twinges since, so seems baby is comfy here!

You must be counting down the days now to maternity leave, sounds exhausting, especially at this stage of pregnancy!

Poppy2020 · 01/12/2019 20:09

Exhaustion has hit too ... does anyone else find even going for a walk is becoming difficult? Roll on maternity leave on the 16th! Glad alls good @Times10

Cjo99 · 01/12/2019 20:44

@Poppy2020 Yeah getting hard to walk. It's really hard getting up off the sofa or out of bed tooGrinthankfully my lovely boyfriend is a great help (His words not mine😂😂)
hope all is going well!Smile

Poppy2020 · 01/12/2019 20:56

@Cjo99 same!! I've been okay up until now it's been the last couple weeks where I'm really feeling it ... can't even put my shoes on without huffing and moaning 😆 when are you due? How you getting on?

Cjo99 · 01/12/2019 21:04

@Poppy2020 January 16thSmileyou?? Putting socks and shoes on is the worst!😂 Cant really complain because it's been a fairly easy going pregnancy... just cannot wait to see her little face lol How are you getting on?

Lizzieee2727 · 03/12/2019 05:51

Technically 15th Jan for me but likely to be induced a bit early. I'm apparently growing a whopper (measuring/scanning at 95th percentile), I'm short and have excruciating SPD. Seeing the consultant on Monday to chat through options and right now I'm just ready to meet the little chunk!
I was happy to wait and get things but in hindsight I'm glad we got things sorted by 30ish weeks. Husband's side of the family are all mid 30s babies (35,36,36,37) and mine were later (37,39) so we'll see what happens!

LucaFritz · 03/12/2019 06:20

Im due Jan 29th and can't wait for this to be over! Currently wide awake because I've had insomnia most of the pregnancy plus Hyperemsis and then when that went i got SPD Hmm me and pregnancy do not mix well its seems. I've bought pretty much everything i need now except some extra cot sheets and a changing mat ive been buying things since i was about 15 weeks though so i had a massive head start 😂

OccasionalNachos · 03/12/2019 07:47

Goood to see a Jan 2020 thread again! Everyone left for a Facebook group back in the summer and I don’t use Facebook Sad

Due Jan 27th (32 weeks now) & after a v easy pregnancy so far I am starting to feel more and more tired. Not finishing work until Jan 10th either, which seemed like the right idea at the time but everyone keeps sharing stories of how they delivered six weeks early with their first babies!

I think I have most of the stuff I need. If there’s a guess at weight/size at my next appt I might buy some smaller or bigger vests. I’m in Scotland so have the clothes in the baby box to look forward to receiving too!

Times10 · 05/12/2019 05:54

Rubbish night sleep again. I’m in a catch 22 situation, every time I wake up to go to the loo, I’m having a drink as my mouth is completely dry, which means I then need to get up again an hour/90 minutes later to go back to the loo.
I do nap in the day but it’s just not enough proper sleep, which means I have no patience with the DCs and I just can’t handle any noise. I’m counting down the days until DH is off and can take over the childcare!

5 weeks to go now! I keep thinking this baby will turn up soon, but I think it’s just wishful thinking as the other DCs were late!

Boymummy3 · 07/12/2019 11:53

Afternoon ladies feeling totally rubbish today 32+6 and sure something is happening...
Diahrrea type cramps yesterday no needing to go the loo though.. Dull aches lower back all day yesterday followed by later on last night cramps in lower bump was like lots of pressure coming and going not enough to time though as sometimes it was constant... Wouldn't think this was my 3rd baby I just feel like a complete newbie🙈 eased off late last night.. Woke up today feeling groggy as hell have a dull heavy feeling bottom of bump/lower back baby active no change in movements.. Pains in cervix now and again I'm wondering if he's possibly engaged🤔
but all I want to do is sleep 😴

Please tell me I'm not alone in feeling so rubbish not that I would wish feeling rubbish on anyone else! 7 weeks and counting I need my body back

LucaFritz · 07/12/2019 12:18

I feel sore heavy and rubbish too but i cannot stop cleaning and nesting everything that's fabric has gone through the wash so far and my living room has never been so spotless Blush got all the baby clothes neatly folded and organized into drawers by size too Hmm like it'll stay like that when he's here and im sleep deprived

Lizzieee2727 · 07/12/2019 14:18

34+3 today and feel crappy. Constantly feeling like I need to poo (apologies if tmi) so don't know if baby is just pressing down on that area, really achey and just want to sleeeeep. Was awake at 3.30 so that might have something to do with it... Think I might go for a lie down x

Boymummy3 · 07/12/2019 14:50

@LucaFritz I have been the same for past few weeks up untill this week.. My whole has has been bleached several times, Zoflora'd up my carpets have even had a good scrub I've cleaned places that literally I would never of thought would of needed cleaning I had a proper cleaning fetish so to speak haha. This last week I've been dead and even doing the dishes has been a chore which now has stressed me out because I'm sat here aching but wanting to get up and spritz the house again 🙈
