I have to say that I only like

Cameron

Love your DP choice of Lauren and Holly, personally I think you should let him choose the name again

Tinker · 30/05/2007 12:23

I'm sorry but I don't like any of those names.

Ooops, just spotted phoebe, that's nice.

MrsJetson · 30/05/2007 12:26

My Great Aunt was called Phoebe, I love the name. DD was always Phoebe until the very last minute we changed it. Be careful with the name as it is becoming very popular. There were 2 Phoebe's born on the same day as DD too....

Libby is very nice too.

Paris - please don't!

A friend has just named her baby Cameron - so that's a good choice too.

Pollyanna · 30/05/2007 12:30

I only like Phoebe from your list too.

Anna8888 · 30/05/2007 12:34

I had a great-aunt called Phoebe too . She was born in the 19th century...

I don't like any of the other names on the list, but I just love Elisabeth (my daughter's second name) which you can shorten to Libby.

Clary · 30/05/2007 12:40

personally those names are a bit whacky for me tho Phoebe is nice. Quite popular tho.
Jordan is on boys' and girls' lists which would be a no-no for me - I prefer names where the sex is clear (esp as I have a boys' name grrr)
Jayden I would expect to be a girl.
cameron is a fairly regular name actually, not my choice but nowt wrong with it.

Sorry not being very helpful. Each to their own an' all. My kids names are very weird in some people's opinion.
What does DH like?

Holly29 · 30/05/2007 12:41

I don't like any of the names on your list, sorry! I think they're a bit 'celebrity', do you know what I mean? Jordan would just be like Jordan the famous person, Liberty reminds me of Liberty X. I think traditional is a good bet because they never go out of fashion.

TakingtheMick · 30/05/2007 13:19

How about Demi-John for a boy - nice mix of traditional and modern

nogoes · 30/05/2007 13:22

I like Cameron, Liberty and Phoebe but not any of the others.

DeJager · 30/05/2007 13:44

Hi there, I was speaking to a friend, a guy, his name is Duke, he hated school, he hated his name, he wanted a name like john or david, something common and something easy.
Only now that he's an adult he uses his name, he things it's great now to have a different name to everyone else, but at school, he hated it and it really depressed him.

Just interesting....because it's only as an adult we want to be an individual, but at school we all want to fit in and not stand out.

So whatever names you choose, remember your child has to live with it
