Charleymouse, all my thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

I'm okay here. Got 19 working days left to go, which cant come fast enough. I am totally unprepared. All the bumps clothes and everything else are still up in the attic. I am seriously hoping he/she doesn't come early as I have absolutely nothing ready and am unlikely to have contemplated packing a bag until i'm off on maternity leave. Sigh. I'm quite envious of all you organised ladies out there. How do you do it with a child and a full time job?

Hope you are all keeping well.....

largeginandtonic · 06/04/2007 21:35

Evening everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your friday off.

Scooter i cant believe the courier company didnt deliver on Thursday I will phone and complain tomorrow morning and let you know what they say.

SOH if you climb ladders at 35 weeks pregnant i will be on the next tractor ride in to deepest darkest Norfolk to give you a severe telling off. You are nesting BTW It's very funny.

TYG stop being a girl and drive the fab jag, just park in the middle of the road. Who's gonna argue with a big old jag and slightly crazy looking 8 month pregnant lady

SOH re the 3rd stage. I have done both, it takes a lot longer with a natural 3rd stage bit i feel is better for the baby. You wont have any nasty afterpains as it is your 1st so i would go for it. I will be having the jab this time as my uterus is tired More chance of bleeding getting out of hand.

MKG glad you pc is back online, nice to have you back. Very glad dh is behaving better, you need some help at this late stage not stress.

HAave been to my parents for a barby, 1st this year. Im soooo tired, came home by 8!

DH taking me for lunch tomorrow Im allowed out!!!!

ShowOfHands · 06/04/2007 22:54

Okay I didn't climb a ladder in the end. I hung out of the window and cleaned them that way. That's okay isn't it? And I've just moved every single item of furniture I own. DH phoned my Mum and told tales. Just had her on the phone lecturing about premature labour and pig-headedness and something else and nag nag nag. I'm pregnant, I'm not ill... my house is sparkly.

I am a wee bit tired so am going to drink tea and think about going to bed. Haven't packed for London yet and I'm leaving tomorrow night after.... THE FAIR!!!

aprilmeadow · 07/04/2007 08:10

Glad you didnt try and climb a ladder but still naughty for hanging out of a window. Although i cant tell you off too much as i hate not being allowed to do things just because i am pg. I like to just go and do things without having to ask for help. Will email you Lupins details.

Been up since 05.55 what joy! DS is in the garden wearing his pj's, fleece sleepysuit, coat and wellies! He is collecting all the sticks and putting them in the 'boot' of his bike. Looks rather interesting and its blinking cold with the patio doors open.

Started taking my raspberry leaf tablets this morning. Dont know if they really work but i guess there's no harm in giving it a go.

Hi Ladies,

first things first, I totally understand why you've started a new thread and am supportive of that. However, is there any way that the title of this thread could be changed, please? I'm a bit concerned that it may come across as a touch insensitive. Thanks.

Just found out that my grandad has contracted mrsa whilst in hospital having an op. The worrying thing is, is that he is coming to stay with my dad for the 1st week in May (my edd is the 3rd) so that my aunt can go on her hols. Now he had this about 2 yrs ago and as a result didnt get to meet ds until he was 3mths old. How do i tell my dad that even if Ella has been born whilst g'dad is down that he wont actually be allowed to see her. Wouldnt be so bad but he has a wound in his neck (had throat cancer and voice box was removed 18mths ago) that needs cleaning and that could mean that my dad could pick it up. Again add to that that my dad has psoriasis (open wounds) so would be more at risk. This is such a hard /tricky situation. Think g'dad is down until the 8th May, so i guess (and i didnt think i would be saying this) i hope i do go overdue. Will avoid the guilt trips that i know i will get! Funnily enough though, my dad hasnt actually told me about the mrsa, only found out from my sister!
