I'm due in feb and for a long time the babies head has been pushing against the top part of my belly and it's so sore. I had a scan yesterday as i was so worried and it confirmed that it was really high and soon the baby would turn, but at the moment the legs are down, has anyone had this before or going through it right now? I can actually feel the head, it's hard and firm - causing me many sleep less night!

This might just be coincidence but I had this and went swimming and she turned. Dont know if the swimming helped.

turning a breech baby

DrJo · 18/12/2006 09:23

My DS was breech at 37 weeks - There is no real need to worry until about that time since there is still room for the baby to move. but if it is causing you discomfort try spending some time on your hands and knees - It worked for me and others I know- DS was first turned by ECV (external cephalic version) at 37 weeks, (another option) but turned back a few days later. But crawling round turned him back a few days later

Klou - I have a head in my belly too, almost like he's trying to look out of my belly button! Has your Little One turned yet?

DontCallMeYummy · 05/01/2007 16:27

PS. Due Feb 14th. Midwife says not to worry...yet

Still the baby has not turned and the pain of having the head and shoulder blade pushing upwards is really getting me down. The whole upper part of my belly is tender and painful, to even touch. Anyone else going through this?

I have experience of this Klou.

I could feel the head just under my ribs for weeks (am 37 weeks now). It got so painful that it affected the nerves and I now have a big patch on mu upper belly that is completely numb, as if I've had a local anaesthetic. Very strange feeling - completely numb to touch the skin, but very painful inside IYKWIM!

Harry - oh my god it's SO painful isn't it - what you described is exactly what i am feeling. You are 3 weeks ahead of me - any movement? Are they telling you c-section? My doctor is. She has been in the same posistion since 28 weeks - not moved!!

I am having a CS - Monday in fact, but because of severe SPD not because of the baby's position. How are you feeling now?

Angelina123 · 25/10/2007 12:58

I'm 34 weeks and in pain! Baby was head and feet up until last week, now I'm not so sure, I think it has moved and is now pushing on all sorts of organs it wasn't before. My right kidney is really sore and I'm sooo uncomfy at night. moan moan moan. Sure it's all normal, but god do we women go through it?!?! Counting down the weeks till I'm me again! )
