Eeeeeep Fluffy! Hope everything is going well! Pulls up pouffe and fetches popcorn!

I've been having a drama (ette). Woke up yesterday and went for a wee. Was extremely surprised to see blood on wiping and quite a lot in the pan. Had no pain, babies were both moving well so I put a pad on and went back to bed. Woke up two hours later went again and more blood. Called MW and they said to go in. So off we trot (after scrabbling bags together yknow just in case) babies both fine after some monitoring, no blood in vagina, cervix closed, but my specimen was still decidedly rosé. They let me go but got me back in today for a scan of my bladder and kidneys (all fine). It just looks like I've the Mother and father of all uti's. So sent off with antibiotics. At least we've now checked out the hospital! All very nice. Service was excellent!

I've a growth scan and consultant appointment Friday so not long to wait!!! Let's hope the antibiotics clear this up, I've had a bad back today... And I've not liked it ... And the babies were doing the fandango earlier... If twin A has turned (breach), I shall cry!!!

Ew, that sounds grim Jellie. Is it, you know, itchy? Poor you. That would have freaked me out, but glad to hear that they didn't find anything more worrying. Impressed that you have your hospital bag ready. I suppose it isn't long to go for you though. Yikes! And what have you done ref sleeping arrangements for twins and have you got a buggy?

Pearl just want to say how gorgeous those photos are - both of you. Just beautiful.

Waves to Bushy. And Fluffy let us know how things are.

Hello all!!
Sorry for no earlier message, was quite an adventurous Sunday and am pleased to say I came home with baby Lucy on Monday!!!

So my birthing story if you'd like...
Waters sort of wished at 1:20 am Sunday, actually a bit like TV lol. My DH said that was a long wee baby and I replied it wasn't a wee....

After an exciting frantic phone call to MWU ( whilst DH calls his work to say he's not in for work on sun..) as I wasn't suffering any contractions to try and go back to bed. Well that's easier said than done!

Anyway woke about 8 (after finally snoozing at 4:30) and called MWU again. Still no pains etc so we agreed to Pop in at 11. Went for a brisk walk to shops and back but nothing

Saw MW at 11 who checked all ok with mum and baby and said we could stay in but up to us, so again agreed to check in at 5pm

Had Maccy D and went for a 3 hour Walk around the park and sat in the sun, then returned ho,e for a bath. At 9 we decided to go in as I was starting to feel some contractions and we took a steady trip to the mlu. The next two hours were lovely getting to know the MW on duty and pains were coming stronger, so we discussed using gas and air. She did an internal to see how far along things were and at 11 pm I was 2 to 3 cm, but the cervix was paper thin. (What ever that means)

Well, the exam certainly kicked things into action as my contractions ramped up ten fold and suddenly I realised what all the fuss was about. Th G and A became my new best friend. We decided we would like to try thr birthing pool just to ease the pain, and in between contractions which were really close together my DH and MW manoeuvred me into the pool.

I didn't intend to have a water birth, but at 1:30 ish I really felt the need to push. My MW was concerned as only two hours had passed and I probably wouldn't have dilated enough, but when she checked again she was surprised to see cervix had gone and head was there!

So then it was all systems go and time to push! I knew it was going to be painful but I knew it was time to meet my girl, so a few heaves and out she came. We had a water birth and I would really recommend it. My beautiful girl arrived at 1:48 am. She is now 10 days old. Breast feeding is going well and I am loving every minute of it, including many feeds!

Hope my story has helped anyone who's nervous and feel free to ask any questions x

Jelliebabe1 · 18/09/2015 07:10

Fluffy! That's lovely. It sounds like it went quicker than you expected. Glad you've guy the hang of breast feeding! Well done you.

Our growth scan has shown one baby might be slowing up a bit. They went to great pains to say not to worry but now I seem to be booked in every other day! We had a scan yesterday and they seemed pleased but have the antenatal appointment today to discuss. Another growth scan next week as they can't do them any quicker than 2 weeks apart... I must admit that I am a bit scared but I know that I am being closely monitored and if there was a problem they'd have kept me in!

Congratulations Fluffy, you sound really happy! If you want to join the FB group so we can see some pictures send me a PM.
Not long left to wait then, Jellie! Sounds like they are just being careful.
My daughter is nearly 5 months old and I've just had 24 hours away from her to attend a wedding. Her sleep has been dreadful so I really enjoyed the night in a hotel!

Has this thread died now?
TYPICAL! I wait years for my seat in the 'copter, and everyone has moved onto private jets...

OTheHugeManatee · 26/12/2015 14:10

sparechange I've been on the Berry thread for a bit and just got a BFP. Doubt you'll see this now but if you do hello

Hello everyone, is there anyone still around?!

I just wanted to bump this up given that there are a couple of Berries with BFPs and it would be nice to have the chopper waiting for them!

I'm guilty of not having posted for a while - I got caught up with looking after my little girl but now she's 13 mo! Where did the time go.

I would love to hear the birth stories of for the newer babies - hopefully some of you will still read this!

ladybunnikins · 11/05/2016 21:22

Hi Chloe, nice to hear from you, our daughters are a similar age. You're right, maternity leave went very quickly but now it seems like a long time ago even though I've only been back at work 6 weeks! I think most of the grads are on the FB group so PM me if you want to join.

OTheHugeManatee · 13/05/2016 16:24

mmminx - sorry I missed your post! I guess you must have had yours by now - hope all is well!

I'm 24wks now and everything seems to be going okay. Having a little girl, due 2 September. It's all starting to feel quite real now!
