think LO enjoying exercising and using all that space! you are probably more aware of movements second time

and depending on position baby is in, you will feel more kicks & movements.....

don;t worry...xx

I think that in subsequent pregnancies mums do feel movements earlier. When I was pg with dd she never seemed to rest and was constantly moving. I think as long as your midwife is happy with you there is nothing to worry about.
I'm pg too at the moment and because I'm comparing this with the last time I'm worrying myself silly with every little difference.

Hi there, thought I'd add to this as I have felt movements from 16 weeks too and my ever-jumping/wiggling bump (I'm due on 21 Dec) looks like it's about to do an Alien on me! When I went for my scan, the radiographer said that seeing babies move lots is always a really good sign, as that tends to suggest they are healthy and active and all is well. So it's something to be happy about as far as I can see. But I defintely feel it more than with my first pregnancy....

Yes it means that by the time you are 38 weeks you will be sick of it and desperate for him to keep still

I worried about mine too but all the doctors, mws etc seem to see it as a good thing - they are currently worried about mine for an unrelated reason (small for dates) but the mw said that movement is actually the best indicator of a baby's health.

(Of course, I still worry that he will do somersaults and tie the cord in a very complicated figure-of-eight knot, but I don't think that really happens )

I think in 2nd and subsequent pregnancies the baby 'moves more' because it has more room in which to jiggle about it being in a 'second hand' uterus

This is my first baby and I felt it move from 16 weeks. I think I have a mini acrobat in there as it is SO active! It hardly ever seems to be still, although thankfully seems to sleep when I do at night so I don't get my sleep interrupted. Bet it won't do that once it's born!

I see movement as really reassuring and it makes me feel that the baby is healthy. I love feeling it wriggling around although I may change my mind once it gets bigger and stronger and can kick harder! I'm 26+2 now so it still has plenty of room to move around in there.
